Anna Marie Bare

Anna Marie Bare, age 89, of Mohnton passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Penn State St. Joseph Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was the loving wife of 72 years to Earl F. Bare, who survives.

She was born in Reading on August 6, 1935 a daughter of the late Wayne Wanner and the late Marie (Nocera) Wanner-Posak.

Anna attended Wilson High School and Empire Beauty School. She was a Licensed Beautician having worked at the 14 West Hair Salon for years.

She had a lot of interests and was full of life. She was a former member of Immanuel U.C.C. in Shillington. She enjoyed sewing and dancing and was a member of the Quilting Guild and the Country Western Line Dancers.  She also loved going to fairs, especially Bloomsburg Fair.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Joanne Pinti (Michael), Donna Schmehl (Ronald), Lisa Putt (Bob), and Jim Bare, Sr. (Donna); 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and her dog, Gabby.

She was predeceased by a son, Earl F. “Butch” Bare, Jr. in 2003.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia is handling arrangements.
