Anthony Sarka Obituary

Anthony J. “Tony” Sarka, aged 83, of Newmanstown, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Sinking Spring Nursing & Rehab. He was the beloved husband of Nancy L. Matthew-Sarka, with whom he shared a devoted marriage since December 26, 1992. Tony was born on Monday, June 2, 1941, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to the late Anthony and Josephine Sarka.  After the passing of his birth mother at a very young age, he was lovingly raised by the late Rose Filoramo Sarka, who embraced him with a mothers love. Following his graduation, he honorably served in the United States Air Force. His professional journey included significant contributions to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, the Caron Foundation, and most recently, Bermont Motors. Tony is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, and his cherished children: Anthony, Jeffrey, Kristen, and Jonathan. He also leaves behind his siblings, Alan and Jacqueline "Jackie", and his treasured grandchildren: TJ and Donna's children, Nicholas and Paul; Jeffrey and Dana's child, Jordan; Kristen's children, Kelly and the late Brett; and Jonathan's daughter, Isabella.  He was predeceased by his sister Veronica "Ronnie". A service with military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
