In Loving memory of Billy D. Cipolla, age 79, of North Heidelberg Twp., who passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Penn State St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.
He was the husband of 58 years to Carol B. (Shipman) Cipolla.
He was born in Dupo, Illinois on July 15, 1944. He was the son of Ignatiius and Esther (White) Cipolla.
He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968 and was discharged with honors. He lived many places in his life, but the years spent in the Bernville area on the beautiful parcel of property he found and built his family home on when he moved back to Pennsylvania held a special place in his heart.
Billy retired as an Air Traffic Controller from the Wilkes-Barre Airport. He previously worked at Reading, Chicago, Baltimore and Fort Indiantown Gap Airports.
He will be fondly remembered for his love of working on projects big and small, restoring vintage cars, attending auctions, hunting, fishing, his unending love and support of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his endless devotion to his wife, Carol, "The Love of his Life".
Billy made a lasting impression on everyone he would meet with his intelligence, quick wit, l and his larger than life personality. He was a member of the Pentecostals of Lebanon and loved his church family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Christy C. Sheidy (Rick), and Angela D. Snyder (Tim); four siblings, Jay Cipolla, Cheryl Scott, Russell Cipolla, and Toni Stewart; six grandchildren, Alec, Lara (Christopher), Selina (Josh), Chance, Dillan and Jake; and nine great grandchildren, Ben, Owen, Jon, Micaela, Oliver, Malani, Kai, Noah and Copelyn.
Services will be private.
