Carl R. Kauffman, Jr.

Carl R. Kauffman, Jr., age 78, of Bethel passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Spruce Manor in West Reading.

He was born in Reading on December 30, 1946 the son of the late Carl R. Kauffman, Sr. and the late Florence G. (Marks) Kauffman.

He was a graduate of Bethel High School and McCann’s School of Business. 

Carl was a custom woodworker, having last worked at Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry in Schaefferstown. He had previously worked at Adelphi Kitchens in Robesonia.

He is survived by a daughter, Phleane M. Kissling (Steve); a son, Carl R. Kauffman, III; a sister, Barbara Kintzer; three grandchildren, Carl M. Kauffman, Alexi N. Kissling, and Miles S. Kauffman (Montana); a great grandson, Vance J. Myers; and his significant other, Patricia Boyer.

Services will be private.

Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia is handling arrangements.

Due to Carl’s lifelong love of horses, In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Rd., Birdsboro, PA 19508.
