Chester A. Martin, Jr.

Chester A. Martin, Jr., age 93, of Wernersville passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at his residence.

On September 19, 1953, he married the best woman he ever could have, Mary E. (Ulrich) Martin who passed away on July 13, 2019.

He was born in Reading on August 19, 1930 a son of the late Esther (Sutter) and Chester A. Martin, Sr.

He was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1955.

Chester retired from Aluminum Alloys as Quality Control Manager and previously was the head of the X Ray department.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan M. Good; six grandsons;  and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Darren R. Martin in 2011; a brother, Luther Martin; and a sister, Beryl Miller.

Per Chester’s wishes he requested no services to be held.
