Dale Bashore

Dale Bashore, age 65, of Heidelberg Twp. passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon.

She was the devoted wife of 41 years to Pastor Gerald L. Bashore.

Born in Philadelphia on February 23, 1957 a daughter of the late Milton A. and Joyce (Rollins) Cherry.

She was a graduate of Gloucester County College in New Jersey and earned her BA in Nursing from Bob Jones University in South Carolina.

Dale last worked as an RN at Cedar Haven Health Care Center in Lebanon and previously worked at Lebanon Valley General, Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Hyman Caplan Pavilion in Lebanon.

She was a member of Heidelberg Bible Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Megan E. Eloe (Justin); Kirstin J. Bashore; and Jillian L. Bashore (Allan Sidley); brother, Kurt A. Cherry (Judy); and a grandson, Nolan.

A warm and welcoming host, Dale's home was always open to gatherings of family and friends. Dale was renowned for her love for and collection of cherries, a tribute to her family name, and was never without cherry decor or accessories that brought a smile to all who knew her. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:00am at Mt. Aetna Bible Church, 11 N. Chestnut St., Mt. Aetna, PA, with Pastor Scott Brady officiating.

A visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Church.
