Dale H. Reber

Dale H. Reber, age 77, of North Heidelberg Twp. passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at his residence.

He was the loving husband of Janice S. (Haag) Reber, whom he shared 57 too-short years with. He was the love of her life. They were Forever Valentines, everything to each other. 

Born in Lebanon on November 18, 1945, he was the son of the late Herbert W. Reber, the late Ella P. (Nye) Reber-Katzaman, and Norman P. Katzaman, who was his father for the past 62 years. 

Dale attended a one-room elementary school house in North Heidelberg Twp. and was a 1963  graduate of Conrad Weiser High School.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1967, stationed at Great Lakes NTC Illinois.

He was the owner and operator of Dale H. Reber, Inc. for 29 years and was last a school bus driver for the Conrad Weiser School District (Brandywine Transportation).

Dale enjoyed hunting, fly-fishing and deep sea fishing, tying his own flies, bowling, traveling (especially his Alaska trip),and casino trips. He loved the children on his bus route and spending time with his late father Norman, his children and grandchildren, and his nephew, Bruce.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Thomas D. Reber (Brenda) of Danville, Pa., and a daughter, Jill K. Robertson (Will) of North Heidelberg Twp ; 5 grandchildren, Griffin, Casey, Sarah, Gage, and Corey; nieces & nephews; and his cat, Chloe.

He was also predeceased by a brother, Harold, and a sister, Faye.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 402 E. Penn Ave., Robesonia. The visitation will be followed with Military Honors and a time for sharing memories.
