Donald Layne Ramsay, 55, of Stouchsburg (Womelsdorf), PA passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at home with family after a long fight with rectal cancer. He was the loving husband of Barbara Elizabeth (Fox) Ramsay for almost 30 years and the father of Samuel Nicolas Ramsay (Chevy Chase, MD), Elizabeth Layne Ramsay (Philadelphia, PA), Martin Thomas Ramsay (Stouchsburg, PA). Born Wednesday, February 19, 1969, in West Chester, PA, Don was the third son of the late Richard L Ramsay and Lillian (Martin) Ramsay (now residing in Lititz, PA). He was a 1987 graduate of Great Valley High School in Malvern, PA and he proudly served in the US Marines Reserves for 7 years. Don established his expertise servicing espresso coffee machines with Espresso Specialists, and later established the Keystone Espresso coffee service enterprise of his own. His last working years were spent servicing customers as a driver/salesman for the Schwan’s Company. Don was a devoted fan of the beautiful game, and coached his sons in their early years; and proudly watched both Ellie and Marty play for their Conrad Weiser High School teams. He had strong allegiances to his Philadelphia Union, and Glasgow Rangers, but the Albright Lions brought him to a glowing pride with Marty on their starting roster as a freshman. In addition to his mother, wife, and children he is also survived by his siblings: Brother Richard L Ramsay, Jr. and wife Patty (Lewis) Ramsay of Enola, PA , Sister Cheryl (Ramsay) Schweigart and husband Chuck Schweigart of West Chester, PA, and Bother Douglas S Ramsay and wife Carol Ramsay of Malvern, PA.
