Dorothy M. Boyer

Dorothy M. “Gig” Boyer, age 79, of Womelsdorf passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Berks Heim.

She was the wife of Dennis C. Boyer.

Born in Newmanstown on February 18, 1945 a daughter of the late George and Florence (Clay) Ludwig.

Dorothy retired from StoneRidge, Myerstown where she worked in the house-keeping department. In retirement she worked part-time at Conrad Weiser High School as a custodian.

She loved fishing, cooking, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends. She was a life member of the Womelsdorf Rod & Gun and was U.C.C. by faith.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Sherrie L. Rutherford (Mark), and Sharon L. Knoll (Gary); step-son, Craig Boyer (Emily); granddaughter, Jessica Kloepfer (Kyle); step-granddaughter, Zoe Boyer; a great granddaughter, Ella; and siblings, Peggy Lou Schoener, Maryanne Krach, George Ludwig II, Paul Ludwig, Gloria Gerhart, Richard Ludwig, and Fern Martin.

She was predeceased by five siblings, Kenneth Clay, Betty Fasnacht, Mark Ludwig, Donald Ludwig, and Russell Ludwig.
