Dorothy M. Ravert

Dorothy M. Ravert, age 93, of Robesonia passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center in Wernersville.

Her husband, John H. Ravert died in 1996.

Born in Penn Twp. on September 20, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Vernon T. and Helen I. (Davis) Bright.

She was a graduate of Robesonia High School and was a self employed seamstress.

Besides sewing, she was also a good cook & baker, and enjoyed quilting, doing arts & crafts, playing cards, and cheering for the Phillies.

Dorothy was an active member of St. Daniel’s Lutheran Church where she also served on Church Council. She was past Matron of the Conrad Weiser Chapter 449 O.E.S.; and served on the Friends of the Robesonia Library Committee.

She is survived by two sons, John T. Ravert husband of Christie, and Thomas H. Ravert husband of Eileen; three brothers, Donald Bright widower of Julie, Randy Bright husband of Suzanne, and Robert Bright husband of Thelma; sister-in-law, Patricia Bright; four grandchildren, Allison, John, Tyler, and Seth; three great grandchildren, Ariana, Sydney, and Austin; and many nieces & nephews.

She was also predeceased by a brother, Vernon R. “Sooner” Bright.

A Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30am at St. Daniel’s Lutheran Church, 480 Big Spring Rd., Robesonia, PA 19551. An Order of Eastern Star Service will begin at 10:30am at the Church with Memorial Service immediately following. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Daniel’s Lutheran Church at the above address or to the Conrad Weiser Chapter O.E.S., 4788 Rt. 419, Womelsdorf, PA 19567.
