Erma M. Gruber

Erma M. Gruber, age 93, of Robesonia passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Berks Heim.

On July 4, 1951 she married Harold P. “Utzer” Gruber who passed away on November 23, 2022.

Born in Robesonia on March 19, 1931 a daughter of the late Clayton and Mary (Seidel) Matthew.

She was a graduate of Robesonia High School.

She was a member of Mt. Aetna Bible Church. She and her late husband were volunteers at the Reading Hospital Raggedy Ann & Andy program. Erma was creative in making greeting cards to encourage others.

Erma worked many years at the Valley Forge Flag Company and retired from Boscov’s West in 1989.

She is survived by a son, Corey Gruber (Emelda), of Fredericksburg, VA; a daughter, Penny Morris (Jack), of Womelsdorf; a sister, Ruthanne Kleinhans, of Zephyr Hills, FL; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by siblings, Warren Matthew, Wanda Gartner, Clayton Matthew, and Harold Matthew.

 A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Aetna Bible Church, 11 N. Chestnut St., Mt. Aetna, PA 19544.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Church.

Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia is handling arrangements.
