Fern B. Swope

Fern B. Swope, age 92, of Mt. Aetna passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Pottsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was the wife of 71 years to John A. Swope.

She was born in Sinking Spring on February 15, 1931 a daughter of the late George and Amanda (Ressler) Ohlinger.

She was a graduate of Wilson High School.

Fern was the Secretary for their family Silo building business.

She was a member of St. John’s Church of Mt. Aetna.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Dale Swope (Jen) and Glen Swope; and three grandchildren, Angela, Ashley, and Cory.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10:00am at Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30pm and Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:00am at Cole Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Hain’s Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. John’s Church of Mt. Aetna, 5 E. Mill St., Mt. Aetna, PA 19544.
