Gale D. Hook

Gale D. Hook, age 86, of Wernersville and formerly of Robesonia passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center in Wernersville.

Her husband, Larry L. “Lee” Hook died in 2019.

She was born in Reading on April 18, 1939 a daughter of the late William and Lillian (Sweitzer) Smith.

She was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School.

Gale retired from Sonoco Products, Robesonia after many years of employment.

She enjoyed Diamond Art painting and will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor.

She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Gartner and Tonya Brown; a son, Morris McKnight; a half sister, Donna Murray; a niece, Cathy Schlappich; and two step nieces. She was also preceded in death by her beloved dog, Ben.

Per Gale’s wishes, services will be private.

Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia is handling arrangements.
