Harry Samuel “Sam” Bordner, Jr., 63, of Annville passed away Tuesday, August 24th in the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. Sam was born in Sunbury the oldest son of the late Harry S., Sr. and Jean A. (Napp) Bordner.
A 1977 Graduate of Palmyra High School, Palmyra, PA, he was employed by the Hershey Technical Center for 25 years as a Senior Maintenance Technician.
Sam was an extremely talented and contagiously fun individual. He made everyone around him laugh and was dearly loved by his family and everyone that knew him. Sam was the lead singer of the Sunset Band started by him and his Brother Tim when they were in High School. He continued to perform with a variety of family members and other band members over many years. In addition to singing, Sam was an avid collector, loved to go camping and attending antique auto shows.
He is survived by three sisters, Elaine M. widow of Dennis Lebo, Womelsdorf, Linda K. wife of Allen Shatto, Palmyra and Karen M. wife of James Day, Lewisberry, two brothers, Timothy J. husband of Kathy (Houtz) Bordner, Lebanon and Michael S. husband of Darlene (Young) Bordner, Grantville and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 18th at 11:00AM in the Fairview Brethren in Christ Church, 600 Evergreen Rd., New Cumberland, PA.
