James Dotzenroth Obituary

James H. Dotzenroth, Jr., age 67, of South Heidelberg Twp. passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

He was the loving husband of Veramarie Cervellero.

Born in Philadelphia on April 7, 1956 a son of the late James H. and Anna J. (Nicholl) Dotzenroth.

He was a graduate of William Tennent High School and Bucks County Community College.

Jim retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Postmaster, having last worked at the Pottsville and Douglasville Post Offices.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Church; a member of the National Association of Federal Employees; the Avalon String Band; the Circus Fans of America; and the Philadelphia Mummers Hall of Fame. He served on the Conrad Weiser School Board and was a South Heidelberg Twp. Auditor.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters, Jamie M. Dotzenroth, Kimberly M. Dotzenroth, and Marissa D. Dotzenroth; and three grandchildren, Ethan, Alisha, and Alexus. He was predeceased by a son, James H. Dotzenroth, III, a sister, Karen Corey, and a brother, Scott Dotzenroth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 1:00pm at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2810 St. Alban’s Dr., Sinking Spring.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00pm at the Church.

Interment at Pleasant View Cemetery.

Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Avalon String Band, 1538-40 S. 2nd St., Philadelphia, PA 19147 or to the Philadelphia Mummers Museum, 1100 S. 2nd St., Philadelphia, PA 19147.
