James Albert Harnish, Sr.

James A. Harnish, Sr., of Millcreek Township. passed away in the evening hours Thursday, June 13, 2024, in his residence.

He was the husband of the late Phyllis Anne (Moyer) Harnish, who died November 19, 2017.

Born Thursday, September 2, 1937 in New Holland, , he was a son of the late Roy M. and Mary E. (Melligan) Harnish.

Following graduation, Jim proudly served in the US AirForce.

He was a member of the Newmanstown Athletic Assn., the Marion Rod & Gun, Rescue Fire Co., Mt. Aetna, and the Richland Legion Post 880.

He is survived by two sons: James A. (Lisa) Harnish, Jr., & Jeffrey L. Harnish; two sisters, Mary Jane Clauser and Darlene Bender; grandchildren: Meagan Harnish, Jessika Strunk, Kelsey Harnish, Madison McMullen, & Nikolas Harnish; great grandchildren: Elizabeth & Wyatt Strunk.

He was predeceased by siblings, Roy Harnish, Donald Harnish & Arlene Eiceman.

Services and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery are private.
