Joanne (Guresh) Barker

Joanne Barker passed away on March 25, 2026.

Joanne dedicated nearly 40 years to Boscov’s, where she rose from the courtesy desk to become the store’s first female manager, a testament to her determination and leadership.

She had a love for dogs and is survived by her beloved EeVee. Joanne enjoyed tending to her yard and container gardens and was known for her kindness to the neighborhood stray cats. Christmas was her favorite holiday, marked by her cherished porch displays and lively Christmas Eve gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Rita Guresh, and her brother, Lawrence Guresh.

Joanne is survived by her daughters, Rita Feather and Deborah Perez; her son, Michael Asselin and his wife Mindi; grandchildren Reese Feather and Danielle Yost; bonus grandchildren Lacey Seresso, Josh and Ray Gioiosa; nieces Samara Stork, Megan Guresh, and Kiera and Kendall Stork.

A Memorial Service will be held April 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mull Funeral Home, 27 E High St., Womelsdorf. Burial will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Shillington.  www.mullfh.com
