Joseph D Purdin

Joseph D. Purdin, age 77, of South Heidelberg Twp. passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023.

He was the loving husband of Linda H. (Frey) Purdin whom he married on June 14, 1969.

Born in Daytona Beach, FL on April 14, 1945 a son of the late Robert W. and Ruth M. (Lutz) Purdin.

He was a 1963 graduate of Haddon Heights High School in New Jersey and a 1969 graduate of Millersville University.

Joe was employed for 30 years with Yellow Freight, retiring as Operations Manager.

He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Robesonia and served as treasurer of the Pretzel City Chorus for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Rebecca L. Urand; a son, Brian D. Purdin (Lauren); brother, Mark Purdin (Diane); and grandchildren, Ivan, Jillian, Natalie, Lily-Rose, Luke, and Lea.

He was predeceased by brothers, Daniel and Thomas Purdin.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church 108 S. Robeson St., Robesonia. Inurnment will follow in the Church Columbarium.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, April 14, 2023, from 10 AM until time of service at the church.

Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia is handling arrangements.
