Lillian Weitzel Obituary

Lillian Weitzel, age 102, formerly of Robesonia passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center in Wernersville.

She was the wife of the late Leon U. Weitzel, Jr. who died on October 24, 1994.

She was born in Sinking Spring on February 25, 1922, a daughter of the late Earl and Mildred (Spohn) Barnett.

Lillian worked at the former Finesse Stocking in Robesonia.

She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine “Deanie” Seese and Linda Sekelic; a brother, Lloyd Barnett; a sister, Erma Mentzer; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Dennis “Butch”Weitzel; and a brother James Barnett; and two sisters, Fern Baum and Edith Kerchner.

Services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia, with Pastor Brad Haws officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
