Marlene E. Sattazahn, 85, of Marion Township, passed away in the late evening hours Wednesday, June 26, 2024, in the Reading Hospital after her twenty plus years battling myasthenia gravis. She was the wife of Clarence C. Sattazahn,they enjoyed farming their whole life. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in August. Born Friday, July 29, 1938, in Perry Township, she was a daughter of the late Ernest H. & Helen S. (neeĢ Dreibelbis) Epting. A graduate of Perry Township High School, Marlene attended Myerstown Christian Fellowship Church. She was a lifetime member of the Marion Grange, and was a charter member of the Farm Women Group #5. The Sattazahn Family was named the 1981 Outstanding Berks County Farm Family by the Reading Fair and the Berks County Grange. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Karen R. (Steven) Mohn, Kevin C. (Sherri) Sattazahn, & Kirk M. (Stephanie) Sattazahn; her grandchildren: Ashley R. Mohn, Brett K. Sattazahn, Tyler K. Sattazahn, Jenna A. Noble, Tucker J. Sattazahn, Grady M. Sattazahn, Carson R. Sattazahn, Cooper C. Sattazahn, & Presley L. Sattazahn; her great-grandchildren: Vodie, Haddon, Mallory, & Sierra Sattazahn, & Alexander Noble; and by her sister: Dianne H. Geschwindt. She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald A. Epting and by two infant brothers. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
