Mary Alice Rissmiller

Mary Alice Rissmiller, age 85, formerly of Reading passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center in Wernersville.

Her loving husband of 60 years, Samuel W. Rissmiller died on August 31, 2021.

She was born in Royersford on October 3, 1940 a daughter of the late Eugene P. and Mary E. (Strauss) Bergstresser.

She was a graduate of Exeter High School and a graduate of the Berean Bible Institute in Allentown.

Mary Alice worked as a Secretary at Boscov’s for many years.

She founded Motivated Moms, an ESL ministry in the city of Reading.

She is survived by four sons, Rev. S. Wayne Rissmiller (Kristan), David A. Rissmiller, Daniel P. Rissmiller (Debbie), and Rev. Jonathan A. Rissmiller (Tammie); a sister, Patricia Hiltebeitel; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by a brother, Eugene P. Bergstresser; and a granddaughter, Amber J. Rissmiller.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, 4891 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, PA 19608.

A visitation with the family will be on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Church.

Interment will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens.
