Mary Lu Stoudt

Mary Lu Stoudt, age 91, of Wernersville and formerly of Whitfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at her residence. 

She was the loving wife for 53 years of the late Dr. Donald E. Stoudt, MD, until his death in 2010. 

Mary Lu was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 8, 1933, the older daughter of the late Lula R. (Randels) and Francis E. Kuntz, Sr. She was a graduate of Fairview, PA High School and of the Jefferson Medical College Hospital of Nursing in Philadelphia. 

She enjoyed playing bridge, painting ceramics, knitting beautiful afghans and sweaters, hand quilting lovely blankets, and creating keepsake needlepointed pillows and wall art. She loved growing flowers and was a past member of the Whitfield Garden Club. 

Mary Lu is survived by her three children, Michael D. Stoudt (Kate), Tricia A. Dowling, and Debra L. Stoudt; a sister, Rebecca A. Stroul; two granddaughters, Dakota D. Jane (Nathan) and Hannah M. Dowling; and three great grandchildren, Zoë, Axel, and Ramona Jane. 

She is predeceased by her son David J. Stoudt in 2021 and a brother, Francis E. Kuntz, Jr. 

Services will be private.
