Minnie E. Duffy

Minnie E. Duffy, age 90, of Newmanstown passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Charles L. Duffy.

Born in Millcreek Twp. on November 16, 1933 a daughter of the late Edwin P. and Rosie A. (Boyer) Ulrich.

She was a 1951 graduate of Newmanstown High School.

Minnie worked at the Caron Spinning Mill, Robesonia for over 31 years.

She was a member of St. Daniel’s Lutheran Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Michael Duffy (Karen), Linda Miller, Betty Shankroff (Mark), and Carol Duffy; a sister, Mary Ulrich; and grandchildren, James Miller, Jordan Shankroff, Sharrah Semsick (Victor), and Katelyn Webster (Sarah).

She was predeceased by brothers, Clarence, William, Irwin, Elmer, and Elwood Ulrich; and sisters, Ada Ulrich, Annie Mountz, and Elsie Ulrich.

Services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia, with the Rev. Mary Etta Mest officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Cole Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Heidelberg Cemetery, Robesonia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Daniel’s Lutheran Church, 480 Big Spring Rd., Robesonia, PA 19551.
