Mitchell L. Witmer

Mitchell L. Witmer, age 62, of Newmanstown passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Reading Hospital.

He was the loving husband of 28 years to Vicki L. (Sholly) Witmer.

Born in Lebanon on November 22, 1960 a son of the late Mark R. and Barbara L. (Yeingst) Witmer.

Mitch was a 1978 graduate of ELCO High School and was employed 41 years at the Bollman Hat Company in Adamstown, retiring in January 2023.

He was a member of the American Legion in Richland and the Marion Township Rod & Gun Club. He was an avid race fan, especially of driver’s Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson, and a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed hunting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Marshall L. Witmer (Haley); a brother, Brian K. Witmer, Sr. (Christie); a sister, Lisa A. Snyder (Scott); and nieces & nephews, Michelle, Brian Jr., Crystal, Colt, and Dalton.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia. A time of sharing memories of Mitchell will follow the visitation.
