Nancy Redling Obituary

Nancy Jean Redling, 69 passed away on September 7th, 2024 after enduring years of declining health, leaving her family’s lives forever changed. Her war is over and now Mom can rest in peace. Nancy grew up in Nutley, NJ and later moved to Brick, NJ with her twin daughters. She is survived by her daughter Kelsey Giffin, wife of Joshua Giffin of Bethel, PA and her daughter Abbiegale Alvarado, wife of Edwin Alvarado of Robesonia, PA and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Robert Baldwin of Jamesburg, NJ and Richard Baldwin, husband of Louise of Brick, NJ. She was fondly referred to as Fancy Nancy and although she was beautiful on the outside, it was her heart that made her extraordinary. Anyone who met Nancy was entranced by the sense of home she made them feel. Her daughters will forever treasure the beautiful feeling, but will always mourn the loss of her magical presence. They will miss her infectious laughter and the warm, comforting peace she always embraced them with. Nancy was born an entertainer. She loved hosting and cooking for her friends and family. She was a social butterfly who took pride in the food she cooked, always scouring her cookbooks for the perfect recipe for the event. She loved her decorations, her fairy lights, her books and her candles. There was not a room that Nancy entered that would go untouched. She was strong and independent and taught her daughters the unforgettable importance of will. She proved to us that the toughest people do not always show it on the outside. You don’t have to look like a warrior to be one. No matter the battle, she always remembered to bring her smile. She was no stranger to her brushes with death, yet every time defied the odds. She taught us that even heroes can have their bad days and you don’t always have to feel strong to be strong. Throughout her battles, she learned the important lesson of vulnerability. She took all of hers and transformed it from her greatest weakness into her strongest power. Her illness slowly robbed her of everything she loved, yet it never broke her spirit. Her fate could have been a tale of tragedy, but she found the strength to write the perfect ending to her life’s story. The pages of her life are filled with resilience, redemption and will. She left us the greatest gift. So when our broken hearts can take no more, we will turn to the magic in her pages and find the strength to heal. One day we will read it together. But until then, we only hope she realizes how beautiful her story was. Online at www.ColeFH.com
