Robert C. Dries

Robert C. Dries, age 91, of Robesonia passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

On June 13, 1953 he married Patricia A. (Merkel) Dries, who preceded him in death on October 15, 2021.

He was born in Robesonia on August 1, 1934, a son of the late Fred and Ethel (Miller) Dries.

He was a graduate of Robesonia High School and Lebanon Valley College. He proudly served in the U.S. Army.

Bob retired from Lucent Technologies (formerly Bell Laboratories, Western Electric, and AT&T) as a Senior Engineer after more than 40 years of employment. He was also a Heidelberg Township Supervisor for 27 years.

He was an active member of the Conrad Weiser Lions Club, where he served as past President and Treasurer. He was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Robesonia, the JayCee’s, Williamson Lodge #307 F.&A.M., Womelsdorf, and was a past volunteer fireman with Pioneer Hose Co., Robesonia.

He is survived by a son, Robert C. “Chuck” Dries, Jr. (Linda); a daughter, Linda L. McAllister (Tim); a sister, Julia “Julie” Christ (Daniel); a daughter-in-law, Carolyn A. Dries; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by 2 brothers, Leonard and Donald Dries; and a sister, Marjorie Troxel.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10:30 am at Cole Funeral Home, 402 E. Penn Ave., Robesonia.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Cole Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Heidelberg Cemetery, Robesonia.
