Robert I Whitmoyer

Robert Irvin Whitmoyer, 77, of Womelsdorf, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in his residence. He was the husband of Barbara Joan Whitmoyer, née Werner. Born Wednesday, July 28, 1948, in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Clarence F. & Estella R. Whitmoyer, née Miller. Bob worked for George D. Wenrich Contractors in Robesonia early in his career.  It was cut short in 1976 when an accident took his left arm.  Eventually, he found employment with Fargo Assembly of Pennsylvania in Richland as a janitor.  He was promoted to the maintenance department where he accomplished every task he encountered for 26 years.  Then he was hit by a drunk driver, he was forced to retire, which devastated his world, but he never gave up. Bob had a passion for the outdoors being an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman, and a member of several gun clubs.  He eventually found a “home” at the Robesonia Fish & Game, where he served as President for several years.  He was very inventive.  He designed a bow which allowed him to bow hunt.  He also fashioned an electric reel to allow him to fly fish quite well.  In addition to his love of the outdoors, was his love for family and friends.  He was extremely proud of his sons and his grandson.  From coaching little league baseball, attending their college games, wrestling, fishing, and everything in between.  Bob fully supported his boys.  Bob’s hope was for everyone to invest in our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. To teach them to respect and enjoy all that God’s creation has for them and to never give up. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Chad R. (Hallie) Whitmoyer & Greg M. Whitmoyer; his grandson: Hunter M. Whitmoyer, who is currently stationed at Holloman AFB in New Mexico; and by his siblings: Charles G. (Suzanne) Whitmoyer, Janet F. Keiser, & Michael (Kim) Whitmoyer.
