Ronald Highley Obituary

Ronald L. Highley, age 84, of Wernersville passed away on Tuesday evening, December 17, 2024 at his son’s residence in Strasburg, VA.

On April 26, 1961 he married Margaret G. (Small) Highley who preceded him in death on February 26, 2019.

He was born in Lancaster County on March 8, 1940 the son of the late Bernard L. and Edna (Kauffman) Highley.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy.

Ronald was a Truck Driver for Caron Spinning for 10 years and later at Interstate Container for 33 years.

He is survived by a son, Brian L. Highley husband of Tammy; a daughter Wanda Gail wife of Ronald Bond; three sisters, Brenda Peiffer, Gayla Letteer, and Sherry Greiner; seven grandchildren, Chad J. Bond husband of Jennifer , Tara L. Bond wife of Kyle Price, Michael Roberts husband of Carmen, Alanna Highley, Logan Highley, Piper Dellinger, and Cooper Dellinger; four great grandchildren, Jordan C. Bond, Tyler L. Hare, Emily J. Bond, and Bradley M. Highley; and a great great-grandson, Brennon M. Bond.

He was predeceased by a step-daughter, Phyllis Roberts; a step-son, Mitchel Roberts; a son in infancy; a sister, Sandy Landis; and a brother, James Highley,

Services will be held at the Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 402 E. Penn Ave., Robesonia on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor Wayne Rissmiller officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Cole Funeral Home on Thursday evening, December 26th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, with Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Naval Funeral Honors Guard at 7:00 pm and a visitation on Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

Burial will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens.
