Ronald E. Swope

Ronald E. Swope, age 61, of Wernersville passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at his residence with his family by his side.

On March 4, 1989 he married Lisa J. (Bashore) Swope.

Born in Pottstown on August 14, 1962 a son of the late Clarence E. and Margaret M. (Malick) Swope

He was a graduate of Tulpehocken High School and the Automotive Training Center in Exton.

Ron retired from the County of Berks Parks Department after 32 years of employment,

He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Northkill Rod & Gun. He served on the Wernersville Planning Commission, the Wernersville Municipal Waste Authority, and the Robesonia Wernersville Joint Authority.

He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles. He loved playing golf with his buddies and loved hunting & fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Tiffany L. Jones, Jason A. Swope, and Devin P. Swope; siblings, Joseph J. Swope and Michele E. Erhart; grandchildren, Aidan, Alyssa, Cassidy, and Kyrielle; and many nieces & nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2810 St. Albans Dr., Sinking Spring.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:00am at the Church.
