Stephen F. Sablone

Stephen Francis Sablone, aged 79, passed away on September 23, 2024, in Myerstown, PA. 

Born in Boston on July 12, 1945, a son of the late Anthony and Elsie (Knopf) Sablone.

Stephen was a devoted husband, father, and member of his faith community.              

Stephen was known for his servant's heart, embodying kindness and a deep love for Jesus                        

Christ and his family. Professionally, he was a skilled carpenter and residential contractor. His dedication to his faith was profound, serving as an ordained Deacon at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto, FL, where he was a cherished member.                  

In his leisure time, Stephen enjoyed furniture making, a hobby that allowed him to express his craftsmanship.                 

Stephen leaves behind his wife, Joan B. Lincoln; son, John Sablone (Susan), step-children, Megan Nicotra (Paul), Erin McQuade-Wright (Chris), Jill Snider (Todd), and Christopher Lincoln (Heidi); sisters, Dorothy Olczak and Betty LaMarche; grandchildren, John Jr., Grace, Jacob, and Sarah Sablone, Collan (Katie), Lachlan, and Gavan Folk, and Fynn Lincoln; and great grandson, Declan Folk. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce M. Sablone, his son, Stephen Sablone, Jr., brother, Richard Sablone, and grandson Logan Unger.                  

Stephen's life was marked by his commitment to service, both in his professional endeavors and in his spiritual community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Scholastica Catholic Church, 4301 W. Homosassa Trl. in Lecanto, Florida.

Interment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens.
