Susan A. Daub-Helm

Susan “Sue” A. Helm (Daub), age 77, of Stouchsburg passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Jerry D. Daub and her second husband, Gerald F. Helm.

Sue was born in Reading on August 17, 1948, a daughter of the late Leon and Gladys (Hartman) Wagner.

She was a 1966 graduate of Hamburg High School.

Sue formerly attended Little Swatara Church of the Brethren in Rehrersburg and Living Stones Christian Fellowship Church in Newmanstown where she was very actively involved in the Friday Community Meal for eleven years.  She has since been hosting a home church fellowship.

She enjoyed spending time with her siblings, children, and granddaughter. She found great pleasure in tending to her extensive gardens and chickens, as well as continuing to feed family and friends.

After retiring from working at  Dutchway and Jubilee Ministries in Myerstown, she continued her love for feeding people by providing a free food pantry in front of her home.

She is survived by her three children, Donna M. Daub, Scott A. Daub (Rene), and Tina M. Sonnen (Peter); a granddaughter, Adelyn M. Sonnen; and siblings, Vincent Wagner (Julie), Steven Wagner, David Wagner (Billie-Jean), Irene Barlet (Jerry, Sr.), and Ralph Swope (Kelly).

She was also predeceased by a sister, Sharon Leath.

A Celebration of Life for Sue will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Living Stones Christian Church, 229 East Main St., Newmanstown, PA 17073.

Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Robesonia is handling arrangements.
