William Donovan Obituary

William J. Donovan, Jr., age 96, of Tulpehocken Twp. passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Manor Care in Sinking Spring.

He was the loving husband of 64 years to Pauline M. (Leese) Donovan.

Born in Bridport, Vermont on December 3, 1923 a son of the late Helen (Goodspeed) Donovan and the late William J. Donovan, Sr.

William retired from Post Precision Castings, Inc. in Strausstown.

He was a long-time member of Elias United Church of Christ, Newmanstown and a member of Williamson Lodge #307 F. & A. M., Womelsdorf. He enjoyed wood-working in his home wood shop, his cats, and especially spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Pauline, are three sons, Michael J. Donovan, Thomas J. Donovan husband of Anu, and William J. Donovan, III husband of Leanne; four daughters, Janet Uber, Jean Richer, Joan Manchester, and Marilyn Chicoine; three siblings, Kathleen Donovan, Theresa Ryan, and Timothy Donovan; and six grandchildren, Jason & Ruby Jean, Desiree, Michelle, Thatcher, Liam, and Kian Donovan.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Patrick J. Donovan; and a sister, Mary Schroeder.

Services will be private.

Cole Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 402 E. Penn Ave., Robesonia is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Elias U.C.C., 9 N. Sheridan Rd., Newmanstown, PA 17073.
